I was 12 when I started playing tennis professionally, and Mrs. Abhilasha Saharan has been my sports psychologist since then. From the very beginning, she has supported me both on and off the court. Her guidance helped me see how important my mindset, routine, and discipline are. She showed me how to work on my weaknesses while also building on my strengths. My journey in tennis has had many challenges, especially with repeated injuries that left me feeling discouraged. Sometimes I even questioned whether I should continue. But her guidance always brought me back. She motivated me when I lost hope, gave me tools to handle setbacks, and helped me stay focused on my goals. Because of her steady support, I kept going and eventually won major tournaments, including the nationals. What I admire most is how patiently she listens and explains things clearly, making even the hardest situations feel manageable. For me, it’s not just about sports. Over the years, I have seen how her counselling has helped me grow into a stronger and more confident person. Now she’s also my career counselor, helping me with my studies and planning for the future. I’m really grateful for her guidance and everything she has done for me.

I feel truly fortunate to have been guided by Ms. Nikita Jandu, both as my psychology teacher and as my counsellor. She taught me Psychology in Classes 11 and 12, and her way of teaching made the subject not only clear but also deeply interesting. Her passion for the subject and ability to connect concepts with real life inspired me to pursue Psychology further, and today I have started my B.Sc. Clinical Psychology (Hons) [RCI] with a strong foundation, thanks to her. Beyond academics, I had the opportunity to take counselling sessions with Ms. Nikita Jandu during one of the most difficult phases of my life. While living in a hostel and being away from my family, I lost my grandmother just before my Class 12 board exams. This loss, along with recovering from typhoid and a surgery, left me with severe anxiety and sleeplessness. On top of that, I was struggling with exam stress and a huge backlog in studies. Her counselling sessions gave me strength, hope, and practical strategies to cope with grief, manage anxiety, and slowly regain focus. She patiently listened, understood my struggles, and guided me in a way that made me feel supported and empowered even when I was away from home. Her blend of empathy, professionalism, and expertise in psychology makes her truly remarkable. I will always remain grateful for both her teaching and counselling, which have had a lasting impact on my academic journey and personal growth.
